BC Circuit Race Commissioner

I've been asked to pass on this link to anyone who might possibly be interested in supporting events at Salt Ayre by becoming a BC Circuit Race Commissioner.

http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/raceeducation/article/vol20130116-British-Cycling-launches-Assistant-Circuit-Commissaire-course-0

The course is just 3 hours in duration and will take place on Saturday 9th February from 10.00am – 1.00pm at the National Cycling Centre.

An appeal

The Salt Ayre track suffers from debris falling onto it from surrounding trees and from the growth of algae which is encouraged by the shade created by overhanging foliage. Plans are underway to have a couple of sessions thinning and trimming some of this vegetation, moving the cover back clear of the track and allowing in a bit more light and air. (Most of what will have to be removed is sycamore.) Like everything else to do with our activities at Salt Ayre, this effort will be made entirely by volunteers. Hopefully, you included...

The weekends in question are 16/17 Feb and 2/3 Mar.  (Just one day each w/end.)

If you think you'd be able to offer a couple of hours help, please contact Jonathan Abra <This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.>
