Inter Club 25 mile time trial - event details & start list Featured

With thanks to Andrew Barlow, here are the details for the Interclub 25

Kent Valley Road Club, Wilson Memorial Handicap 25mile TT and Interclub 25

Promoted for and on behalf of Cycling Time Trials under their Rules and Regulations, Course – L2524

Wednesday 08th July 2015, Start: 7:01 pm

COMPETITORS PLEASE NOTE: Parking, numbers & results board will all be available at the Hare and Hounds, Levens car park LA8 8PN

Can you please park so we don’t block the car park up (leave the spaces near the pub as free as possible)

Please can you support the Hare and Hounds as we are using their facilities.

Please return your number to the results board when you have finished your ride.

Can you all please sign on before 6.50pm if possible. Note: the start is appox 12mins from the HQ.

The event is still a bit short of marshals, so please shout out if you can help!

  1. Riders must call their numbers at the finish and elsewhere on course if requested.
  2. Riders and spectators must NOT STAND  in the road at the start or finish. (this constitutes obstruction and is a breach of Regulation)
  3. Riders Must NOT ride with their heads down
  4. Can all rider please sign on before so we can sort ourselves out to ride
 

Course L2524

START in lay-by on A590 approximately 500 yards south-west of junction with southbound A6 at the white mark on kerb edge which is 22 yards from the eastern end of the tarmac footpath and 33 yards east of an AA telephone point. This mark is directly in line with a wooden fence post with two angled supports in the hedge and almost in line with the most easterly of two ‘Please take your litter home’ signs ( Levens 10 Start)

Proceed in a westerly direction along A590 to Meathop Roundabout where on this fist occasion take the first exit on to the B5277 to Lindale village where encircle Mini-Roundabout. Retrace along B5277 to Meathop Roundabout, take the second exit and retrace along the A590 in an easterly direction to the Roundabout near Sedgwick. Encircle, taking 4th exit along the A590 and continue through the starting point and continue in a westerly direction to Meathop Roundabout, where encircle and take 3rd exit along the A590. Continue in an easterly direction and turn left at gilpin Bridge and  finish 1.7 mile along the A5074))(25 mile)

The following Local Regulations have been approved by the national committee in accordance with Regulation 38. Any breaches may lead to disciplinary action being taken.

Local Reg No.5

In ALL events, competitors prior to starting are not permitted to ride past the finish timekeeper during the duration of the event.

Local Reg No. 6

Any competitor making a ‘U’ turn in the vicinity of the start or finish will be disqualified from the event..

Local Reg No. 12

No parking on the car park or frontage of the Strickland Arms.

Local Reg No. 15

Riders must keep to the left hand side of the road except when overtaking. Failure to comply with the above may lead to disqualification

Helmets - All competitors under the age of 18 and/or JUNIORS must wear a HELMET of HARD/SOFT SHELL construction that conforms to a recognized Standard (see Regulation 15).

Cycling Time Trials strongly recommends ALL competitors wear such a helmet

Competitors Machine – Lights:

CTT recommends that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position clearly visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
